Abstract

In this personal essay, I describe my contributions to engineering ethics education for the 1990s through the early 2000s. these contributions include the creation of a permanent undergraduate course on engineering ethics, presentations at conferences, participation in activities of professional societies, collaborations with colleagues to develop instructional videos, and scholarly studies of the learning outcomes of ethics instruction.
