On March 18-20, 2021, Wake Forest Program for Leadership and Character will host a free virtual conference on Character and the Professions. This conference will explore how virtuous character sustains ethical leadership across six professional contexts: business, divinity, engineering and technology, law, medicine, and public life. It will bring together distinguished scholars and respected practitioners in each field, including former U.S. Secretaries of State, the Honorable Madeleine K. Albright and the Honorable Colin L. Powell, whose keynotes will preview Wake Forest’s upcoming Face to Face Speaker Forum. A plenary session will explore the relationship between diversity and character in various professional settings. Confirmed speakers include prominent scholars from Carnegie Mellon, Edinburgh, Harvard, Penn, Stanford, UVA, and Wake Forest.
