This module is part of a series of seven teaching modules designed to promote best practices in publication ethics for life scientists and biomedical engineers who publish research papers. This module helps students: recognize plagiarism and self-plagiarism, understand who is affected by plagiarism and how, apply best practices to text preparation and develop a personal checklist, and understand what to do when they encounter plagiarism.
