The Ethics of Data Management

This online module synthesizes ethics concepts, case studies, relevant policy, and best practices to assist the teaching and learning of ethical data practice in science and engineering research. Following the lifecycle of research data management, the module is organized in four related units: 1. Planning for Data, 2. Generating Data, 3. Processing Data, 4. Using, Sharing, and Preserving Data. Overall, the module seeks to advance an ecological perspective of data ethics.
