This essay describes the 50+ year "journey" of Larry Shuman into engineering ethics, including the co-authoring of a book (Engineering Ethics: Balancing Cost, Schedule and Risk: Lessons Learned from the Space Shuttle; development of methods for assessing engineering students' ability to recognize and resolve ethical dilemmas; development of ethical model eliciting activities (E-MEA); and the development and teaching of an engineering ethics course.
